PembinaHills 9U Baseball League
Game days will be Thursday starting on  May9th. Games will start at 6:30p.m. There are two U9
Leagues this year totalling 16 teams.

Leagues are split geographically to limit travel (North and
South).

Managers are responsible to communicate the diamond location to the visiting team at
least two days in advance of the game.

Rules-Please read and follow to ensure as much baseball as possible
Each batter gets 5 pitches, if the player has not got a hit or hit the ball in play, place a
“Tee”at Home Plate and let them put the ball in play. (There are NO WALKS OR
STRIKEOUTS)
Teams Switch from batting to being in the field after 1 of the following scenarios. 8
Batters max per inning, 3 outs, or 5 runs, whichever comes first.
 The 8th batter and any runners may continue around the base paths until the ball is
brought to home base
 While your team is in the field, have a coach stand near the catcher, help pick up the
balls as they are thrown if the catcher misses.This makes a HUGE impact on how many
Innings you can get in.
The more ATBATS / innings played in a game is what keep these kids interested. Nobody
enjoys standing around and waiting for longer than necessary.Our efforts should be
directed towards ensuring that the game's pace keeps kids engaged in the sport.
