1. We are extremely proud of our boys. We got down by a touchdown quickly and came back. We were down two touchdowns going into the fourth quarter and got within 2 yards of having a chance to knot up the score (and we got the ball back again).

2. Please reinforce the real points of our efforts are for the boys to learn the fundamentals of the game, teamwork, execution, and fun.
Winning always helps with the fun, and we try to do that in the fourth quarter, but I personally am overwhelmed with how our boys really support each other during the game.

3. This week we will focus on moving some of our young men around in various assignments, particularly on defense. We are very proud of how our boys are progressing on knowing where to be on defense. We'll now focus on stability with the defense, and fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals.

4. Special thanks to all of you parents for your support during the game. The banner for the kids to run through is great, the cheering for support is great, and the help on the sidelines is great. We hope this is an experience that you and the kids will value for a very long time.

5. Don't forget, Thursday is parents appreciation night so the kids will give you all a round of applause at the end of practice, and a parent will distribute stickers. If you are interested in distributing stickers at a future practice, please let Coach Gary know.

6. As always, we are open to feedback. We are particularly interested in knowing that your child is enjoying his experience. Let Coach Joe, Chuck, or Gary know at a time and in a way comfortable to you.

7. Our game is at 5pm, this Saturday, at Cross Timbers Middle School.
Please have him there, dressed, and pumped up to play at 4:15pm. I feel real good about the expected outcome of this week's game......
