Notes:
Southdale opened the scoring late in the first period but Ryan scored a power play goal, assisted by Brad, with less than a minute left in the first to tie the game. Southdale scored midway through the second to retake the lead, but again we tied it up; Dylan scored a power play goal assisted by Matthew at 3:26. Southdale managed to score again in the dying seconds of the period so we went into the third period down 3-2. Dylan scored an unassisted goal at 14:25 of the third to tie the game for the third time, but Southdale managed to score with just 3:16 left in the third and hung on for the win. Taylor had a solid game in the net, making some big saves to keep the game close. On the last goal, he made the first 4 stops. Other than Mark's second 10-minute misconduct penalty, we spent 14 minutes in the penalty box and 2 of the Southdale goals came on power plays. Overall, we had a better game than the last time we played this team, we'll get them next time. |
