Notes:
This was the first full ice game for the Jets This year, and they were matched up against the small but speedy SW Flyers. The game started out with a very fast pace, and both teams skated hard but it quickly became clear that the Flyers would be no match for the superior passing skills of the Jets. Time and time again the Jets effortlessly moved the puck up the ice with tape to tape passes which resulted in goal after goal. Matt,Rhett, Tyler, and Bodin accounted for most of the scoring with each player sniping multiple goals. When The Flyers would make a dash down the ice, it was rare that they would ever make it past center ice before A.J. would swoop in and steal the puck away. On the other line Owen,and Andrew had real strong games defensively while Gavin and Aiden made numerous end to end rushes scoring goals more often than not. The Jets top Goaltender this day was Marshall who at times almost stood on his head to stop pucks fired his way. Bodin was awarded the hardest working Jet Helmet today for his strong skating and passing this game. Great Job Guys! |
