Game Notes: First off, I want to express my gratitude to the 12 players who committed to our team for today's Cup game. Our boys worked their butt off and we saw a great game of soccer.

Big thank you to Luke who missed his Volleyball game today as well. He was needed and made a difference on the field.

First Half:

For the 2nd game in a row, Jordan got off our first shot of the game, 1 minute in. The Fury would come back and get theirs at 3 minutes, but both goalies were solid. Jonathan took the first foul of the game ('7), which allowed us to set up and get control of the ball. Issac would take the ball deep into the corner and cross the ball, Jordan fond the cross and "bar-down" scored the 1st goal at the 9 minute mark. The Fury did not give up. They stuck to their kick and run, earning a corner kick at the 13 minute mark. Despite us clearing the ball, they would come back hard and tie it up at the 15 minute mark. The next 25 minutes saw some back and forth play. The Fury would kick it deep, we would defend and carry the ball back out, they would kick it in...and so it went. Jordan, Jonathan and Markus would all get shots on net, but the half would end at 1-1.

Half time we spoke about work ethic, getting to the ball first, making crisp angle passes and using the breadth of the field. Master Coach Bradford focused on some specific tactics and gave a rousing pep-talk. We were ready for the 2nd half!

Second Half:

We started by earning a corner kick at 47 minutes. And Markus would sail a smart cross where Josh would head it just over the bar. Andrew would draw a foul at 48 minutes, and Jordan earned his 2nd of the game as he finished a great set up by Ben. For the next 20 minutes we turned back the kick and run, and saw shots from Ben, Isaac, Marcus and Andrew. The boys were battered, bruised and exhausted at the end, but they held on for the victory!

Final: Razorbacks 2 - Fury -1

POG: Player of the Game was awarded to Jordan. Jordan scored both goals today. He could have had 4, being in the right spot when he was suppose to be. He made several key plays and used great field sense in opening up the field. He play a full 80 minutes and end with 8 shots (4 of which were on goal). Well Done Jordan.
