Notes:
After a good game against Dakota Sunday afternoon, the boys came out hard but could not keep it going against Stonewall; we lost 5-2. Louis opened the scoring in the game with an unassisted goal at 9:35 of the first, then Stonewall scored 10 seconds later and again near the end of the period to take a 2-1 lead into the second period. Stonewall scored twice in the second period and once in the third period before Mark M scored, assist to Mark B, with just 52 seconds left in the game. Brett had his worst game of the season in net and takes full responsibility for the loss. Troy got the digger award for yet another strong performance. If it's any consolation, the Stonewall parents were ecstatic as it's the only win they have earned this season, despite often travelling for up to 2 hours to play. Their only other win was due to forfeit, the other team failed to show up to the game. They said this was the best their boys have played all year. Both the parents and the kids were really good sports and gracious winners. |
