We started our weekend off with a match up against the Red Tide. Our girls got off to a slow start in the first half and was able to take a 9-2 lead at halftime. To start the 2nd half we jump out to a 12 point lead.  Unfortanley we were not able to maintain the lead and allowed the Red Tide to come back and win 34-31. Our girls were very dissapointed because they new they could do much better.

Game 2: was a match up against the defending State Champions Black Widows. The game went back and forth with neither team able to extend to a lead larger than 6 points. With 4 seconds remaining in the game the Black Widows held a 31-30. We had 2 free throws attempts but were not able to convert on either attempt.

Game 3: was a match up against the Lady Hurricanes. We jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. We won 58-7!!!!

Game 4: we had a match up against the Suffolk Lady Blazers. In our 3rd game of the day our girls were very tired but dug deep and the energy to beat the Blazers 38-10.

Semi-Finals: Was a rematch against the Red Tide. By the end of the 1st qtr we lead 11-10. In the second qtr our defense went into lock down mode which resulted to a 16-2 run and took a 27-12 into halftime. In the second half our team was not going to give up another lead to the Red Tide and sealed a 48-20 victory. 

Championship: Another rematch game this time against the Black Widows. The first half  was another back and forth game. Neither team had a lead larger than 6 points until the 3rd qtr when the Black Widows jump out to a 12 point lead (24-12). In the 4th qtr we came storming back and was able to tie the game at 26 with 3:00 remaining in the game. The next 6 point were all scored by the Black Widow to extend their lead to 32-26 with 1:15 remaining in the game. After a timeout we were able to get 2 quick steals and 2 quick baskets to get as close as 32-30 with :39 seconds remaining. After the Black Widows were able to inbound the ball they were able to run the clock down to 0:00. This  was another tough loss to a very good team. 

Since we came in second place, we have qualified for the AAU National Championships!!!
