Bulldogs Football

 

7 White

 

The 7th grade white team lost to Watertown 38-12 Saturday. Tyler Davis rushed for 113 yards and scored two touchdowns. Sam Matthieson rushed for 46 yards and Joe Corrao rushed for 55 yards. The defense was led by Tyler Davis who had 3 tackles and two sacks, Andrew Ullmann had 3 tackles, and Austin Mottl 2.5 tackles.

 

7 Blue

 

On Saturday the 7th Grade Blue Football Team encountered a tough Catholic Memorial team.  While the Bulldogs put forth a lot of effort, Memorial prevailed 18-0.  Leading the Bulldogs Defense was Ryan Hernandez.  Also adding tackles for the Bulldogs were Eric Thompson, Michael Loose, Derek Maxwell, Thomas Van Dyke, and Spencer Draggoo.  The offense was highlighted by Connor Davidson hooking up with Alex Schultz for an explosive 49 yard play. 

 

8 White

 

On Saturday, October 3rd 2009, the Bulldogs won their fourth consecutive game by outscoring Watertown 38-20.  This victory brings the team’s season record to 4-1.  Offensively, Drew Patterson led the rushing attack with 9 carries, 156 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Andy Dauer returned a kickoff for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown while Shane Powell also crossed the goal line scoring his first touchdown of the season.  Defensively, Drew Patterson and Sean Coady led the team with 5.5 tackles each.  Additional defensive contributions came from Aaron Sonneman, 4 tackles, and Garrett Minor, 3.5 tackles.  Overall, the defense played very aggressively as they were able to force a total of 6 turnovers. 

 

8 Blue

 

The 8th Grade Blue hung tough on a Saturday, but was defeated by Catholic Memorial for the first time this season 26-14. The Bulldogs had a balance attack on offense compiling close to 300 yards of total offense. Quarterbacks Brady Ellingson and Brett Buehler each completed five passes each to four different receivers.  A pass from Buehler to Mitch Gesvain for 30 yards initiated a late rally for the Bulldogs. On the ground John Phillips led all rushers with 50 yards followed by Adam Jost with 25 yards.  Ryan Warzon made some remarkable receptions and also had both touchdowns for Templeton.

 

For the defense Ellingson paced the Bulldog defense with 5 tackles followed by Buehler and Warzon with 4 each. Brett Neverman, and Jake Glenndenning were also credited with 3 tackles each. With the loss it moves the 8th grade Blue to 4-1 for the season. They will host South Milwaukee on Saturday October 10th, game time at 10:30am.
