| Jon Merrigan was a 1993 graduate of Vermillion High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of South Dakota. Merrigan joined his hometown Red Sox in 1993 and has continued to be a strong force at First Base to the present date. He was a member of the 2003 and 2004 Class "B" State Champion Red Sox teams. Merrigan's brothers Jay and Josh, as well as his cousin, Shea, are also members of the Red Sox team in 2005. Jon was a member of the 2006 Class A State Champion Vermillion Red Sox and was named to the South Dakota Class A All-Tournament Team in 2006. In 2009, Merrigan will be playing his 17th season of Amateur baseball, all of which has been with the Red Sox. |
