Countdown to Mosquito & Pee Wee Assessments

Posted Mar 14/10 - Bantam Assessments & AA Tryouts

The final assessments for all Bantam age players will be held on Saturday March 27th at Allenby Park from 12:00 - 2:00 pm.

After this assessment the first round of cuts will occur and the remaining players will be asked to attend two final assessments. All players that are not selected for or who do not wish to be considered for the AA Cannons will be assigned to a Bantam A team for spring season.

The by invite only Bantam AA tryouts will be:

Sunday March 28th 11:30 - 1:00 indoors at Oak Bay Recreation Center.

Monday March 29th 4:00 - 6:00pm outdoors at Allenby

The final Bantam AA Cannons team will be selected on the 29th and the successful players will be asked to attend the first practice/team meeting on Wednesday April 1st 4:00 - 6:00pm at Allenby.

***Note***
Any T-ball or Tadpole players wishing to be considered to play up to the next age group, MUST attend an assessment at their own AND the older age group. Please identify yourself to the division co-ordinators at that time.

Pee Wee Players need only attend ONE assessment session unless they wish to try out for AA, then please attend both dates.

This year's opening ceremonies for all CAFBSA players will be at 1pm on Sunday April 11, 2010. Come out and join in the fun with your teammates, coaches and parents. Team photos for Mosquito, Pee Wee and Bantam will be held on this day- details to follow. Photos for all other divisions will be held on another date - details to follow.

Posted Jan 13/10 - Fields, Fences & Clean Up Parties

April 1st: after 5pm come out to Carnarvon Park and lend a hand getting the fields ready for the season - details to follow.

April 3rd @ 10am: Tee-Ball to Mosquito families can choose which field (Allenby or Firemans' or both ;D) to come out for a few hours of camaraderie & clean up. Bring your work gloves, rakes, wheelbarrows, hoes and shovels to help us get the fields in shape for all of our kids this season. No experience or expertise necessary.

Tadpole Baseball: Monday Group Practice 5:30-7:30 pm, Thursday Games/Practices 5:30-7:30 pm & Saturday Games/Practices 1:30-3:00 pm or 3:30-5:00 pm
Mosquito Baseball: Games: Wednesday 6:00pm, Friday 6pm, Saturday 9 am-11:30 and 6pm. Practices: Sunday 9-11am or 11-1pm or 1-3pm. Prospects Games: 6pm
Pee Wee - Junior baseball: various days (no pattern)
Learn to Play (II & III) Softball: Saturdays or Sundays
Squirt and Older Softball: various days (no pattern)

Let Kids Play is a charity with the objective of placing low-income and disadvantaged youth into organized sporting programs.

Any families or youth who cannot afford to participate in our league can access more information at their website : www.letkidsplay.ca and application information is available online.

A child or family can apply to have the costs of their season of sport covered by LKP, provided that they meet the requirements of the application and demonstrate financial need.
