We played our 1st game of the season against the Burnaby Pirates and we happened to play one of our best games beating the Pirates 10 to 1. Our pitchers Dean Svenson and Chad Riley pitched like it was a playoff game 11 K's gave up 5 hits and 1 run and zero walks .Something to look forward to in our season  . Hitting Nate Dog 2 for 4, Dusty McAvoy 2 for 4 , Bucky Wilkins 2 for 4, Paul Langley  2 for 3, Beau Simpson 3 for 4 with a double. Beau also got 4 RBI's. If I had to pick a MVP tough to do today it would be Dean Svenson pitching 5 innings 8 K's  , Runner up Beau ( Pudge ) Simpson 3 for 4, 4 RBI's.
