Home Opener Crashed by Jr. Cards
Posted May 18, 2010
It was not the home opener the Supers were looking for, as countless miscues and lackluster play ended up resulting in a 12-1 loss to the Yorkton Junior Cardinals. Darcy Blommaert pitched 4 innings, while Travis Fogg finished the game off, pitching for the first time in nearly three years. Welcome back Fogger
The Supers were only able to get 5 hits, two by shortstop Trevor Latham. Ryan Kitchen and Ryan Coleman each recorded singles, while Basic Bahrey had an rbi single. This was also Coleman's first appearance as a Super.
With the loss, the Supers drop to 1-1, and head to Melville on Friday night to renew their rivalry with the Bison. Game time is 7:30 p.m at Pirie Field.
