Lakers reach out to help with rainouts

The Tofield Lakers hope to turn their annual Canada Day Classic into a make-up day after two weeks of mostly washed out games.

Teams are encouraged to contact Josh Banack and coordinate if possible with another team that had a rainout with them, to possibly play the game in Tofield sometime throughout the day.

All eight teams in 2004 enjoyed a similar day where four games were knocked off the regular season schedule in a fun-filled day at the Tofield Fairgrounds.

With just six teams in the PBL, there could be a possibility of a couple teams knocking off two games even. However, finding enough players on a holiday Thursday can sometimes be challenging.

The following are lists of postponed games so far this season:

Tuesday, June 1
Leduc @ Holden (PPD)
Tofield @ Bardo (PPD)

Thursday, June 3
Bardo @ Tofield (PPD)
Holden @ Ryley (PPD)

Tuesday, June 8
Bardo @ Armena (PPD)
Tofield @ Holden (PPD)

Wednesday, June 9
Armena @ Holden (PPD)
Leduc @ Bardo (PPD)
Tofield @ Ryley (PPD)
