Yandeau; Pirates win opener

The Plumas Pirates are off to the races with a big 9-6 win in game one over the Minnedosa Mavericks. Plumas used the long ball for all of their runs. Zac Yandeau was in beast mode hitting THREE home runs and collecting 8 RBIs , he also walked. Sam Koncz also belted a solo home run for the hometown team. Rylan Denbow picked up the win throwing 6 plus innings. John Hutton was the hard luck loser giving up only 7 hits. After Yandeau hit a grand slam with 2 out in the bottom of 6 plumas held a 9-2 lead. The Mavericks would score 4, and load the bases in 7th to threaten but couldn't complete the comeback. Game 2 goes tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 630 in Minnedosa
