Lady Falcons win 4th district game against Shadow Creek
Posted February 3, 2019
The word is defense. On a night when Foster struggled to connect the middle and attacking thirds, the defensive line of Ashley Bell, Elise Cheramie, Jade Cheramie and Chloe Mills held fast, limiting Shadow Creek to 5 shots and wrapping up another clean sheet on the season. Some difficult passing lanes impacted the Lady Falcons normally potent offense and, despite getting 22 shots, they were only able to find the back of the net once. The mad scramble off a corner kick saw two shots deflected out, but Tola Ajayi struck for the third attempt and put the Falcons up 1-0 midway through the first half. Starting for the injured Grace Shivers, Ale Yeverino was solid in goal and helped ensure the Falcons held on for their 4th district win in a row. The Lady Falcons play Willowridge on 6 Feb at Foster.
