Dbacks Steal 2 From Pirates

Lloydminster, SK: The Saskatoon Diamondbacks travelled to Lloydminster to play the Prairie Pirates. Game 1 saw the Dbacks win by a score of 8-5. Owen Lindberg started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs with 3 BB’s and 4 K’s. Matt Scott finished things off going 3 innings with 4 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB’s and 0 K’s. Offensively, the Dbacks were led Garrett Krawchuk who was 2 for 4. Nolan Machibroda was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s while Tyler Schlichemeyer and Graham Forrester were 1 for 3. Adam Sembalerus was 1 for 1 with 2 BB`s.
Game 2 saw the Dbacks score 5 runs in the top of the 5th to beat the Pirates 9-7. Graham Forrester started on the mound going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 3 runs, 1 ER with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s. Nolan Machibroda pitched the next 3.1 innings for the win allowing 5 hits, 3 runs with 4 BB’s and 4 K’s. Tyler Schlichemeyer earned the save going 2.2 innings with 4 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB and 1 K. Offensively, the Dbacks mustered only 6 hits. Eric Clauson led the way with 3 hits and 3 RBI, while Garrett Krawchuk was 1 for 2 with 2 BB`s. Nolan Machibroda and Cody Murfitt were both 1 for 4 at the dish.
