Dbacks take one to earn Split with Indians

SWIFT CURRENT - The Dbacks built up an early 9-3 lead in the first game of yesterday’s double header, but then let it slip away eventually losing 11-10 to the Swift Current Indians. In the second game, the Dbacks once again built up a big lead and held on to win 9-5. Bryce Libke started game 1 going 4 innings allowing 7 hits, 6 earned runs with 4 BB’s and 3 K’s. Matt Scott, who took the loss, threw 1/3 of an inning allowing 1 hits and 4 runs and 3BBs. Garrett Krawchuk finished things up allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 2 K’s. Offensively, the Dbacks were led by Shane Soderberg who was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Jayden McKim was also 2 for 4 and Matt Scott was 2 for 3. Ryan Olchoway, Eric Trakalo and Ryan Crilly were each 1 for 3. Nolan Machibroda was 1 for 1 and Garrett Krawchuk was 1 for 4.
Game 2 saw Ryan Olchoway start going 6 innings allowing 7 hits, 5 runs, 3 earned, 1 BB’s and 4 K’s. Nolan Machibroda pitched the final inning allowing 1 hit with 2 BB’s and 2 Ks. Offensively, the Dbacks were led by Ryan Olchoway who was 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs. Zak Krysak was 2 for 4 and Nolan Machibroda was 1 for 2. Tyrone Polson, Garrett Krawchuk and Bryce Libke were each 1 for 3. Shane Soderberg was 1 for 4 while Jayden Mckim rounded out the offence going 2 for 5.
