Team Sask goes for Gold

WINNIPEG, MB - Team Sask's semi-final win against Team Ontario finally saw the scoreboard light up for Saskatchewan, cruising to a 7-0 win - the team's previous high for runs scored was four in round robin play, after averaging less than three runs per game throughout the tournament. Team Sask pitcher Connor Sparks dominated on the mound in the semis, tossing a four-hit, five-inning shutout. Saskatoon Dback's Ryan Olchoway finished things off pitching 2 innings clean. In the other semi final, host Team Manitoba edged Team Alberta 1-0.

Primed for a match-up with their neighbours to the east for top spot at the Canada Summer Games, Team Sask will look to take home the gold tonight at 6.
