Chuckers Deflate Indians with Comeback Win!

The Richmond Chuckers showed why they are one of the top teams in this league playing errorless defence, and waiting to cash in on their few opportunites to score 3 unanswered runs in the 6th innning to defeat the Tri City Indians 3 - 2.
Blight was dealing early in this one striking out the side in the top of the 1st. The Indians spurred on by his great effort manafactured a run in the bottom of the inning when Sugi singled to start things off, stole 2nd base, moved over to 3rd on Wilson's 2 strike ground out, then scored on Norris' ground out.
The Indians scored again in the 3rd inning when Sugi hit a 2 out double and Wilson singled to score him to stake the Indians to a 2 - 0 lead. Blight was cruising until the 6th inning when the Chuckers lead off batter reached on an error and the opportunistc Chucker offence struck faster than a cobra; a walk and two hits later the Indians watched their 2 run lead turn into a 1 run deficit.
Although the Indians had base runners in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings the Richmond defence was perfect and the Chuckers held on for a 3 - 2 win. The Indians outhit the Chuckers 5 - 2 but it was the Chuckers flawless defence and opportunic offence that were the story in this one.
