Frogs defeat Heron Lake in a rain shortened game

The Frogs defeated Heron Lake 6-3 in 5 innings after lightening and rain shortened the game to 5 innings on Saturday afternoon.
The Frogs got on the scoreboard early after a leadoff triple by Elliot Serbus, who scored on a ground out by Dylan Gass.
The Frogs then scored 3 runs in the second inning after three consecutive hits by Mark Neubauer, Logan Swann and Riley Kramer, who were followed up by a double by Ben Maiers.
Heron Lake answered by with 3 runs in the top of the 3rd. But the Frogs added 2 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd to ice the game.
Brad Gass pitched all 5 innings, and picking up the win. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits.
The rest of the Highway 55 tournament was later cancelled because of rain.
The Frogs record now improves to 12-3 on the season, and travel to Willmar on Monday night to take on the Willmar Rails at 7:30
