Both teams offences started off well as both teams scored three in the op of the first, highlighted by a three run home run from Phil Sobkow. Unfortunately that was all the offence the Supers could muster off of Royals starter Tanner Nesbitt as the Royals were able to score a few more runs in a 7-3 victory
Zach Goulden-Maddin continued his torrid hitting with a double and two singles and a run scored. Adam Korb busted out with two singles. Zach Rakochy had a double to round out the hitting.
Logan Parachoniak started on the mound, giving up four runs in 2 1/3 innings before having to leave with a blister on his right index finger. Adam Korb came in relief and pitched 3 2/3 innings giving up two runs on five hits with three strikeouts. Dylan Toffan finished the game pitching one inning giving up one run
Monday June 26: Supers 7 Parkland Parkland Padres 3
The Padres rolled into Al Sapieha Field Monday night. Heading into the top of the seventh the Supers held a 3-1 lead. But the Padres clawed their way back to tie the game at three heading into the final Supers bat where Travis Mentanko stepped up to bat with the bases loaded none out and drove a fall over the right center field fence for a walk off grand slam and a 7-3 Supers victory.
Evan Rostotski and Zach Goulden-Maddin each had a pair of singles, while Greg Andreychuk, Scott Sharp, and Derek Palagian each had one single apiece.
Derek Palagian pitched five innings allowing just one run on two hits with five strikeouts. Kholton Shewchuk tossed the final two innings allowing two unearned runs with two strikeouts to pick up the win.
With the win the Supers season record improves to nine wins, four losses and two ties. The regular season finale is Tuesday, July 4 vs the Yorkton Yankees at 6:15 PM in Canora
