On Sunday June 2 the Supers took the long trip to Grandview but did not take much time putting runs on the board as they scored six runs in the top of the first to cruise to a 15-8 victory.
Adam Korb started on the mound and picked up the win. He gave up four earned with one strikeout. Ron Sopko came in relief allowing a pair of runs before Kody Rock finished up in the seventh by giving up one run on four strikeouts.
15 year old Clay Sleeva was called up from the 18U team and did not disappoint as he had a 2 rbi double and made a fine diving catch in center field for a great Supers debut.
Jordan Evans continued his hot hitting as he had a single, double and triple with two rbi and two runs. Korb had a nice day at the plate with a single, double, and two rbi. Kody Rock also had a single and a double with three runs, while Kholton Shewchuk had a pair of singles and three runs. Evan Rostotski had a single and three runs scored, while Ron Sopko had a single and a run.
The Supers scored six in the first, followed by one in the second and three in the third for a 10-0 lead. It was all the breathing room they would need as Grandview did manage to rally and make the score much more respectable in the end.
With the win the Supers improve to 5-1 on the season. The next game is Friday, June 7 in Willowbrook vs the Royals. First pitch is 6:15 PM
