Supers Dominate Legends 7-1
Posted July 6, 2021
July 5 was a chilly evening compared to our current heatwave temperatures. However it did not stop Kody Rock from having one of his classic dominant performances, as he carried the Supers on the mound and with the lumber to a 7-1 victory over the Langenburg Legends.
The Legends were able to get a run in the top of the first on a single and a double, but Rock would only surrender two more hits and no more runs the rest of the evening. He struck out fourteen and walked zero as he was in complete command of the strike zone.
With the bat, Rock was 3-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs, four rbis and a stolen base. Zach Rakochy continued his solid season with a single, double, two runs and two rbis. His double broke the game open in the bottom of the sixth to give some much needed breathing room. Travis Mentanko, Kholton Shewchuk, and Derek Palagian each had one single apiece, as the offence capitalized when they had to.
With the win, the Supers are now five wins and 1 loss on the season, and would hold the tiebreaker with Langenburg if they end up with the same record at the end of the season.
Next action will be Wednesday, July 7 as the Parkland Pirates come to Al Sapieha Field. Game time is 6:15PM
