Wednesday July 14 - Supers 10 @ Yorkton Marlins 3
It was ace vs ace, as the Supers sent Kody Rock to the mound vs Tanner Nesbitt. Both pitchers were throwing very well, but a comedy of Marlins errors led to their demise late to seal the Supers victory.
Rock was the star of the game, as he gave up three runs (one earned) in seven innings while striking out 14. He was just as dominant with the bat going 4-5 with a massive home run, three singles, three steals, and four runs scored.
Travis Mentanko had a pair of singles, while Zach Rakochy, Kholton Shewchuk, Sean Kolodziejski, and Greg Pelechaty each had a single. Derek Palagian was a perfect 1-1 with three walks and two runs scored.
Thursday July 15 - Supers 2 @Yorkton Marlins 10
With home field advantage clinched, the Supers played a much less intense game on the 15th. Jayden Heskin of Norquay got his first start on the hill in over two years, and struggled to find his groove as he pitched 1 1/3 innings, allowing five hits, one strikeout, six walks, eight runs (6 earned) to take the loss. Greg Pelechaty came in relief allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits in 2 2/3 innings with two strikeouts. Kholton Shewchuk pitched the final two scoreless innings with three strikouts.
Two runs were scored in the top of the first, but that was all for the game. Zach Rakochy had three hits to lead the way. Travis Mentanko, Kholton Shewchuk and Heskin each had a double, while Logan Wolkowski extended his hitting streak to two games with a single
