GIRLS GOLF WINS AT BRENHAM, 4TH at REGIONAL PREVIEW

The Girls golf team capped off a busy Friday, Saturday and Monday with a win in one tournament and a 4th place finish in another. The girls went into the Regional Preview at Eagle Pointe Golf Course in Mont Belvieu on March 3rd and 4th after not playing a tournament since the end of Janruary. The team on Katie Shepherd, Sarah Zimmerle, Kathleen Escobar, Karen Alvarez and Christabell Siboro showed a strong finish and came back to end up 3 strokes from a 3rd place finish to the best teams in the region. The team shot a 349 on Day 1 and a 333 on day 2.
The lady Cougars got a day of rest and then we were back at it on Monday at the Brenham Invitational at Brenham Country Club. The Lady Cougars won the tournament by 53 strokes. The Cougars shot a 333. They were lead by the 1st place medalist Sarah Zimmerle with a 76 and the 3rd place medalist Karen Alvarez with an 83. The rest of the Cougars finished with scores of 84 by Kathleen Escobar, 87 by Katie Shepherd and an 88 by Christabella Siboro.
