League Schedules Spring Meeting

President Stephen Hrabec has called the League Executive and team representatives together for the annual Spring Meeting. This year's edition of the meeting will occur on Tuesday March 30 at 7:00pm and once again is scheduled to occur online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The league has confirmed that the Edmonton Expos, Tofield Braves and Vegreville Blue Jays are locked in for the 2021 season with the Armena Royals, Camrose Axemen and Camrose Roadrunners declaring they are likely to be on the field as well. The Rosalind Athletics are currenlty rounding up the troops and getting commitments from players for the season and are expected to inform the league shortly. It does however look like the Leduc Milleteers will not be re-joining the PBL in 2021 after announcing they would take a year away from the league in 2020 due to roster issues.

With a whole season lost to the pandemic, this Spring Meeting will likely be light on content regarding rules and changes to the league that often get discussed. Instead, it is expected that most discussion will centre around determining different season scenarios depending on the provincial guidelines that will be in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The current PBL Executive:

President - Stephen Hrabec (Vegreville Blue Jays)

Vice President - Corey Epp (Tofield Braves)

Secretary - Ian Sherbaniuk (Armena Royals)

Treasurer - Steve Enright (Rosalind Athletics)
