Chuckers Alumni Named To High Performance Rosters
Posted August 2, 2015
Baseball BC has named its Team BC rosters for the upcoming annual fall showcase events, and our program is well represented with former Bantam AAA Chuckers.
Noah Or, a member of our successful 2013 team and now with the North Delta Blue Jays of the BCPBL, was named to the Team BC roster for the upcoming Western Canada Summer Games. He will join Chuckers head coach Ryan Klenman, who continues his tenure as a Baseball BC High Performance coach. The event is being held in Wood Buffalo, near Fort McMurray, Alberta, August 7-16.
Owen Napieralski, who spent two fall ball seasons and two winter programs with us, and is now a member of the Whalley Chiefs of the BCPBL, was named as an alternate.
Brandon Hupe, who spent two fall balls and two winter programs with us, plus one year with the AA Chuckers (in which he joined the AAA team during a mid-season tournament in Okotoks, Alberta) and now with the North Shore Twins, and Kyle Gee (one fall/winter session - now with Burnaby), were named to the 15U PNC BC team that will compete at the upcoming Pacific Northwest Championships, August 14-17 in Centralia, Washington.
The 16U PNC team includes several members of our 2014 squad as Alex Dawson, Kallan Collet and Chris Cook, current members of the North Delta Blue Jays, all made the team, along with Napieralski.
The 17U PNC team includes alumnus Tyler Hoefer (North Delta Blue Jays), who was with us for two very successful seasons in 2012 and 2013. Jake Polancic (Langley Blaze), who attended our 2011/12 fall/winter program, also made the team.
Hoefer and Polancic also made the 17U BC Selects, who will represent the province at the prestigous Canada Cup Baseball Canada 17U National Championships, August 5-10 in Saskatoon.
Congratulations to all of you, and good luck at your respective events!
