San Antonio Crusaders: A Sisterhood of High Character Individuals
Posted August 3, 2015
The San Antonio Crusaders inaugural season has come to an end. Though the final game results were not satisfactory, the season as a whole was extremely successful.
Success is diversely defined in the mind of each organization and individual. For the Crusaders, one of our measures of success lies in having no regrets. From owners to players to coaches; all those still here can look one another in the eye and say "great work". Having no regrets is also living up to your potential.
Another measurement of a successful season, especially in the first, is establishing a team culture. From top to bottom, the San Antonio Crusaders are built upon hard work, dedication, and opportunity. Our ethos are not strictly symbolism of the announcement but are resonated throughout the days, weeks, and months of the season. The specifics are intentionally left out as that pertains to family business.
From my standpoint as a coach, the character of my athletes is the single most important aspect and one that should be admired. I have been blessed with an unparalleled privilege of coaching the Crusaders and the way they allow me to coach is something that I'm grateful for everyday. Because they are who they are, and they let us be involved in their lives; This is a true joy for me. It has been my absolute honor to be apart of the foundation and to see these athletes grow from teammates to a sisterhood of dedicated individuals. In that sisterhood lies the key to the Crusaders.
