The St. Peter amateur baseball club got back to its winning ways Tuesday night at Veterans Field, beating River Valley League West rival Gaylord 12-3.
The win moved the Saints into first place in the West division with a 5-1 league record, while the Islanders drop to second with a 2-1 mark.
After two scoreless innings, Gaylord got on the board first with a run in the third inning on a single, stolen base and an RBI single.

Seth Wenner then walked and Ryan Wenner singled to score Roehrkasse. Kaus followed with a walk to load the bases and Tyler Stoffel got an easy RBI with a walk. That scenario played out twice more as Hanson and Roehrkasse each tallied an RBI with bases-loaded walks.
The final run of the game came in the eighth as Kapsner singled and later scored on single by Kaus.
Jeff Wenner pitched the eighth and ninth innings. He faced the minimum with two strikeouts and a double play.
