Town Team To Retire Enz #3 and Kruger #16

ST. PETER, Minn. – The St. Peter town team announced Friday that it will officially retire two former players’ numbers. Mike Enz’ No. 3 and Andy Kruger’s No. 16 will never be worn again by the local amateur baseball team.

Enz, a 1987 St. Peter High School graduate, started his 33rd season with the town team this summer but after careful consideration decided it was time to hang up the cleats. Enz played outfield for the Saints and was a fierce competitor who loved the game.

Kruger, a 1996 St. Peter High School graduate, passed away June 23, 2001 after a tragic accident at his home. Kruger played seven seasons with the town team.

Both numbers will be retired during a pregame ceremony at a game this season to be determined.
