Planned Exhibition Game
Posted May 20, 2017
A six game series is being developed in order to showcase the rules specific to the playing style of the Texas Indoor Football League.
The game will be broadcast for general viewing in order to see the future view, we think the course of indoor football should go, the game rules are amended to change the game into an athlete player style format who can play the game in space.
While this development concept trial plan is to develop pro ready and highly noted prospect level talent to move up and into the current indoor or arena style football model, if the concept is proven to be effective another angle may offer itself as a stand alone model for a different operating system completely.
The exhibition series is being planned for Houston and possibly Austin Texas, with the Fort Worth Dallas area also included.
Newly created position players such as the Rogue a standup DE/LB type or the Joker/TE that will be able to line up within a five yard buffer zone from the established line of scrimmage and even motion, something not used in the most current version of the indoor or arena game, this means that there are two designated offensive linemen while adding another true receiver blocker type that really does threaten the defense and plays in space, there will be three players in motion allowed on the offense.
The kicking game has been eliminated completely no kickoff's nor field goals or even extra point attempts, since we are in the concept testing phase we can track the difference in potential injury for players from concussions to other types of injuries that occur or have the possibility of occuring during this part of the game in such a contained limited space.
No date has been set for the exhibition series this summer but an announcement will be forth coming as the 2018 season and combine 21u tryout dates are established since the academy operates within a 15 week's semester season and training cycle most of the information is already known but not the exhibition games, The Houston Shuttle will take on the Fort Worth Drive.
The AI1 academy will be the training and conditioning school for players, before entering league play in the Texas Indoor Football League.
The 10 game 2018 season dates are expected to be released in December.
