The Development Argument |
The most common argument is a development league is not needed, because of college football but this argument is not true. Other sports have development organizations so is football so great that it can consider itself above that? Any player with potential will need time to develop, injuries being a later round draft choice can sometimes cause a player to not get the opportunity to develop, and now that the game has moved away from a single model style of play a player can switch positions much more comfortably and that opens up the opportunity for a professional team to look at the possibilities if they have vision, The future is now and now is the time for potential players and professional teams to look at what can be, not just what you currently see now but a players possiblities in the future , currently the arena/indoor game is full of career minor league players since the league's aren't considered major league beyond its wall's this is a problem not being address'ed properly. The league's aren't developing younger coaches players or infrastructure which can be noted by the current state of the sport, teams still folding leagues unstable yet they ask the public to offer respect to its model. And of those smaller leagues formed calling thelselves developmental, what standard of a development program do they offer to suggest any such thing being real, this is simply an out look at what has been presented today and over the year's. The sport of arena/indoor football has a place but the industry has failed itself. The TIFL/AI1 academy doesn't profess to have the complete answer but we do see a way to develop young prospect level talent that could play in the current model's presented, our current goal is simple develop professional prospect level talent based upon a standard of combine testing that suggest the player truley is a professional football talent. This prospect talent can be offered a Player Development Contract- Contract to Hire we offer as a system to bridge the gap as a way to get young talent before coaches and GM's, something currently not being conducted in today's system by any arena/indoor league. But it doesn't stop there, we have a mandatory coaches system that develops young coaches in the sport, through the Lab 1 classroom. |
