Mission
The Lauderdale Lions, an adult minor league football program was
developed to give players more than just another shot at football, but
in life. The Lions provide an opportunity for the players to pursue
higher
education and help turn their lives around. The team will be comprised
of men 18 years and older, from various backgrounds, and who reside in
Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties.
The purpose of the organization is to bridge the gap
between youth and young adulthood by instructing and playing top
quality football and positively developing our neighborhoods and
communities. Additionally the organization will promote the development
of leadership, character, sportsmanship, tolerance, discipline, and
athletic ability. The organization will nurture fitness, volunteer,
and a lifelong love of sports in the community. The organization will
encourage and help those individuals who do not have a college
education to go to or back to school and share in the dream of academic
and athletic excellence.
To
strengthen
the Lauderdale Lions relationship with the community, the organization
will participate in a mentoring program for at risk youth; By
accomplish a
minimum of four (4) community service activities annually, and manage a
scholarship program for local individuals seeking a college degree. We
also have connection with Professional Organization such as: NFL, CFL,
IFL, AFL, AF2 & more...
