Greater Dallas Southern Basketball League, the official stepping stone for athletes!

GDSBL Basketball leagues and programs focuses on improving the skills and ability and enhancing the natural talent of the athletes competing in Pro Am (Semi Pro) level and wanting to take their game to the next level.

Greater Dallas Southern Basketball League is designed to provide a year round basketball leagues and programs by providing year round quality and competitive basketball. Our Pro-Am basketball players and teams philosophy is setup to work in conjunction with the Pro (ABA, WBL, UBL, USBL, D-League, Overseas and Collegiate) coaches, scouts and agents in developing and conditioning our athletes to the level skills and reach the type of performance that those teams and coaches are seeking. 

We believe that all athletes need continual training and conditioning along with great competition that will enhance their playing ability and help them grow into a better athlete and person.

Becoming a great athlete, starts with talent, dedication and commitment, but goes nowhere without opportunity and training.

Which is why GDSBL allows for those athletes with commitment, dedication and talent to play in a year round high competitive league, where we also focus on developing important player values, like good sportsmanship, integrity, respect and leadership. 

Mission

Our mission is to equip our athletes with the necessary tools to further their basketball career; to assist them as much as possible to accomplish their sports goal(s) (whether that be playing collegiate, professional overseas or d-level or just enhancing personal skills).

Purpose

The purpose of the Greater Dallas Southern Basketball League is to provide pro-am, semi pro and high competitive teams in Dallas, Texas and surrounding cities and other states with a consistent, competitive formal league structure that will give teams the opportunity to play year round. Most teams participating in this league are pro-am, semi pro, former pro players, former collegiate athletes, and/or very competitive teams.
The league may cost a little more than recreational leagues per season, but teams get a better quality and more competitive level of game, including jersey’s and certified officials.  Teams will not be required to pay the game officials at the game like most recreation leagues.

The league will also include a cash prize for the championship team, unlike most rec teams. Also, team standings and team stats will all be recorded and posted on official league web site at www.weplay.com.
