The St.Albert Tigers are an elite baseball team comprised of adults 21 and over playing competitive baseball in Alberta and across the prairies. Our team plays within the competitive Senior Men's AAA Sunburst Baseball during our regular season. In the last 20 years the Tiger's have won 14 Sunburst league championships. This is more than double the next closest team. Our team has always been dedicated to providing the best on field product possible. We are devoted to developing our players into skilled and disciplined members within our team framework. Over 70% of our players have attended college and/or university in the United States to further their careers. After college many players choose to return to our team because of our relentless approach for excellence. As a team we have attended the Canadian National Senior Men's Championships 3 times in the last 8 years, winning in 1999 and again in 2002. Our team fell just short in 2005 and have since continued our dominance by winning the league championship in 2006.
We are a community team with strong community ties. Over 75% of our players grew up or played within St.Albert during their development years. We are recognized as a staple within the baseball community in St.Albert. For the past 6 years we have called Terra Pines our home field. This season we are moving our team into St.Albert to play out of Legion Field, one the few elite fields in northern Alberta. To continue our community involvement the Tiger's are currently constructing a website to keep our players, alumni, and the community informed of our operations. We feel that strong community involvement can benefit not only us, but potential stakeholders as well.
The St.Albert Tigers are a non-profit organization that prides itself on its self-sufficiency. Our organization has been involved in competitive baseball in Alberta for over 25 years. Our current fundraising opportunities include working a few bingo's each season, casino revenue every 4 years, and tournament winnings. The monies fundraised are put towards the general operation of our organization such as equipment, field usage fees, travel expenses, tournament entries, and team apparel
