IN 2013 YELLOW JACKET BASEBALL UNVEILED THE INAUGRUAL HALL OF FAME CLASS. THE PURPOSE OF THE HALL OF FAME IS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THOSE WHO REPRESENTED TROUSDALE COUNTY BASEBALL THROUGH EXCELLENT PLAY, DEDICATION, SUCCESS, AND CLASS. ALL MEMBERS HAD TO EITHER PLAY, COACH, OR CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND CONTIUING GROWTH OF THE BASEBALL PROGRAM.
DAVID COTHRON "BIG C (Coach/Contributor)" - Coach Cothron helped get the baseball off the ground in the fall of 1991 (Program was only in its third year) by installing the first dugouts and infield grass among other things. Coach Cothron expanded the schedule to include perinnal high school powers which included allowing TCHS players showcase their skills in a broadened scene by traveling to tournaments throughout the state. Coach C was the head coach at TCHS from 1992 through 1997. He coached five All-State players. His teams won two district regular season titles and was regional runners-up in 1994 (The old format required you to win the region to advance) finishing in the Sweet 16. His '93, '94, '95, and '96 teams all advanced to the regionals. He came back to the dugout in the fall of 2001 to be the head assistant to his son, head coach Davy Cothron, where he helped continue building the facilities and helping the Jackets to 8 consective regionals (2005-2012), finishing regional runners-up twice, winning two Sub State titles, and making it to two Class A State Tournaments.
Mike Carey (Coach/Contributor) - Coach Carey served as both an assistant and head coach of the TCHS Baseball program. In 1996, Coach Carey filled in at times for when then head coach David Cothron was dealing with a family health issue. Coach Carey served as head coach from 1999-2001. HIs 1999 and 2000 squads reached the regionals. Coach Carey coached all-state players, catcher John Carey and OF Craig Moreland. Under Carey's watch, Moreland was selected in the 43rd Round of the 2000 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. Coach Carey was very instrumental in getting the facilities moving forward and helping improve the playing surface. He even drives the bus if called out from the bullpen.
