R. Miller's Cardinals Season Starts in Weyburn

   The R. Miller's Cardinals came up empty handed in their season opening games in Weyburn. The Cards dropped 5-2 and 4-3 decisions to the rebuilding Weyburn Beavers. This is a troubling start to a team which boasts a tremendous pitching staff along with veteran leadership and what should be great hitting up and down the line up. The Cards were missing some key players including Zach Rakochy who should be an offensive leader for the club if he is guided and develops properly. The Cards are looking to bounce back but it won't get any easier as they travel to play the always tough Swift Current Indians in Swift Current later this week.
