Playoffs Posted: Aug 23/09 02:09 pm EST First off i wanna talk about last nights game.... yes we were screwed, hard. To the point it wasnt even fun playing. It was worse than the Forest Park Vikings game. Also, i wanna say last night doesnt mean a da** thing, why? bc we are now in the playoffs and anything can happen. We will get to play them again. Remember we beat the pride twice only 2 lose in the playoffs, so we can get revenge on how we were treated. I also wanna say do you realize how many people they picked up just to play against us that game, a bunch of dline and oline. I dont care if they were on that roster or not it still shows me they were scared to play us with only what they had the first time. Shows me they would rather bench players that spend time effort and money playing all year just to get help for the big game. Shows me they sure ass he11 didnt wanna come to calhoun bc they new they would not have all those people come. Still with all those people we still had that game, we were still in it till the end. I take it as a compliment really that they needed all those people just to show up and play against us and not every other team. As for ourselves lets look into what we can do to make us better....We have some of the best talent in this league other teams even say that and some cant see how we are not killing everyone with it. One thing i see is a huge lack of organization....we are not preparing like we should. Ill come out and say it the idea of the 6-2 we had was great. After the first drive they couldnt do anything against us with it and it had them fighting and pissed of at each other. We moved out of it right b4 the half to stop them from passing in the last 1min. After half time i do not know why but we switched out of what was working and into what we did most of the rest of the game and it killed us. Stupidity IMO. Most every player new it and it still wasnt corrected and discussed.Another issue i see is knowing your personel. How can you put players in spots to succeed if you dont even know your players. Background info Steam 2 te formation most the time run 99.9% of the time 1 wr in game. So great idea with 6-2 just know who to put where. Starting with secondary we should have had 1 corner in game only on the wr. Strick and Reese over te's from the saftey and 2 MLB's. Next mistake, and no offense to anyone but we had one guy at de who was at 2 previous games and is fairly new was seen only against the avengers and was said to be very fast and contained outside well. Dditn look like that on the first drive when we had people who have been around all year that could have done same thing,Carter, Clyde, A-Train, Matt, in a game like this def is most important and the best 11 should have been on it. We are not in the business of making people happy we are here to win simple as that. Mike and Casey spend way to much money for us to play buddy buddy and other bs some teams do. For me i love this team i hate losing and it kills me everytime we do. Regardless of this message and how anyone takes it bc i do not care if it hurts your feelings you need to look at why it does, we are still a team and are too good not to fix this for the playoffs, bc im sorry it needs fixing..... how do i know bc what we got going works against the teams we should beat, bc our talent overwelms them, but seems to hurt us in the big game when our oraganization is lacking as is our schemes. We got everything we need we do not need anyone to quit or to let go of anyone but we need to drop our ego's bc ill be honest nobody on this team coach/or player should have one bc if they were anything that special they would be getting paid or in a coaches hall of fame, we need to listen to each other get of of our cliches and into this playoff picture focused and knowing what we need to do. If anyone has a problem with this message ill be happy to discuss it nothing personel just lets get it right for playoffs bc we can walk through this thing and get a trphy Extreme lost 2 games last year and won the championship so can we. I am also sad to say that any game after Sept 15th i will not be a part in playing bc i have to have my knee surgery bc my insurance runs out Sept 30th and it will kill me not to be able to lay any further or in a charity bowl with you guys. Also, to Jarae he11 of a game from you last night, you had a bunch of clutch catches, nice job. Bring your mom to every game lol jk. |

RE: Playoffs Posted: Aug 23/09 08:10 pm EST a lot of truth in this guys... they were scared to death. they loaded up with players and had the ball taking from us times and we were still right in the game.. i know we lost, but keep your heads up it wasnt that bad.. if we all get to practice this weekend we will have the chance to fix stuff like this. we will get this right... still proud of you all guys.. kacee |

Truth........ Posted: Aug 28/09 11:35 am EST This needed to be said. Unfortunately a lot of players probably want see/read it, but I like the majority of what was said. The Steam picked up a ton of people. Like Tyler said, I take that as a compliment and I didn't care if they had T.O. on their team. I was there to win! Unfortunately my leg was injuired and I was unable to get back in the game. I would have done just about anything to play. I was furious on the sideline watching how we were being cheated. I could not keep my mouth shout no long. To much was at state. I told my high school friend that this was the biggest game I have played in since the Northwest Championship game my junior year of high school and that is saying a lot. He then knew how serious I was and that this season was not a joke. I know they can't beat us straight up. Although I didn't care where we played, it would have been a different outcome in Calhoun. I agree about this not being a buddy buddy system. We are here to win! This is not pee-wee football and it shouldn't be treated like it. The best 11 for the job is what you want on the field. That is the way I was coached in high school and I don't see no different today. |
