|Third place.... Posted: Apr 11/10 09:29 pm EST
Look at the subject of this topic...."Third place." As for me I love this team and am dedicated to it but I am tired of third place. It's time to get over that hump and move forward. To do that we are going to have to work hard...harder than we have been....harder than we ever have. The last few years have been successful. We are still a relatively new team and have made huge strides. Last season saw us nationally ranked in only our third year of football. Who would have thought a team from Calhoun, Georgia would be nationally ranked? Ask Kacee if he thought that would happen in three years...I would bet he wouldn't have put the house on it...LOL! We have lots to be proud of for sure. But, we set a goal to win a championship every year and every year have fell short. This year the goal is the same....it is up to us if the outcome is the same. Only one team can beat us and that is us. One team, one goal, one mission. What will you do to help accomplish this? Will you sell out every play, whether it be practice or game? Will you pick up your teammates when they are down or keep shoving them to the ground? Only each of us individually can answer those questions for ourselves at this point, but at the end of the season every player will know what your answer was in April by the way you present yourself over the next six months. My mindset will be to do whatever it takes or as Coach Tank would put it "Tomo Betsuni" or "TB" which is Japanese for "give me your all or give me nothing" cause if you ain't giving your all then you basically are giving nothing.
