Game
Notes:
The Renegades win their second game of Pool Play in the BPA State Tournament, beating the powerful East Cobb Longhorns 4-3 on Thursday evening. Ryan drove in Michael for the winning run in the bottom of the last inning. Austin S had two hits including a double, and Nick also had two hits. Austin L, Clint, Michael, Drew, Ryan, and Lucas all had singles. Austin L made a great defensive play at shortstop. He was moving to the base to take a throw on an attempted steal, but the Longhorns executed a hit and run and the batter hit the ball into the space Austin vacated. Austin slammed on the brakes, went back and got the ball and made a great throw from his knees to retire the batter. More great pitching for the Renegades. Patrick started and went three innings allowing only one earned run on three hits, with no walks and 3 Ks. Ryan came on to pitch three more innings of 2 hit baseball, and allowed no earned runs while picking up the victory in relief. |
