Game Notes: The Waukesha Firebirds (Black) beat the Milwaukee Angels 12- 5 to go to 3-0 in the Great Lakes Youth Baseball League. This game was highlighted by some very good defense by the Firebirds. Duce Ducett made a outstanding defensive play in the 7th inning to keep the Angels from starting a rally. Conor Sherman and Bergie Berghoefer and Storm Muehl combined to pitch a very solid game. Darin Howell and Brian Hepworth stayed solid behind the dish with controling the pitchers and throwing out runners in key situations to help the Firebirds put a stop to some key chances for Milwaukee to score runs. This win had alot of positive things to feed off of and move forward to keep getting better and every player made some type of contribution. If it was a key hit from Brian Hepworth or Tyler Coffey. Or Samuel Vissers making a shoe string catch in left field or Alex Lawrence going 2 for 2 and 2 walks. Ty Neushaefer playing solid at shortstop and scoring 2 runs. This was our first game we went without a ERROR. This is Firebird baseball. Keep working to always improve. GREAT WIN FIREBIRDS!! I would Also like to Congratulate the Milwaukee Angels on winning the Milwaukee Braves Tournament this last weekend. It is nice to see the Great Lakes Youth Baseball League Teams do Outstanding!!
