Game Notes: The U12 Waukesha Firebirds (Black) defeated The U12 Waukesha Firebirds (Red) 9-2 in Great Lakes Youth Baseball League play on Thurs. at Waukesha West. This makes the Firebirds (Black) 4-0 in League play. This game was a very hard fought game by all players on both teams. The Firebird (Black) Team was lead by a Great pitching effort by TY (ROCKET) Neuschaefer, Tyler(DECAF) Coffey, Samuel ( Cadillac) Vissers, ALEX ( A-TRAIN) Lawrence and MITCH (DUCE) Ducett. They were backed up by some very good defense and on offense Alex Lawrence went 3-4 with 3RBI's to lead the team. Storm Muehl and Mitch Ducett both scored 3 runs to help the Black Team win. Conor Sherman also scored a run and went 1-2 with 2 walks to remain a very hot hitter for the Firebirds. Brian Hepworth played his usual tough catcher and gunned down a runner stealing second to stop a threat from the Red Team. This was another good TEAM WIN and improvement is needed but the effort is there. Keep working hard. For the RED TEAM Kyle Sykes and Jacob Berra pitched a very good game and the rest of the team played with the style and effort that Firebirds are tought to play . GREAT GAME and GOOD LUCK TO BOTH FIREBIRD TEAMS IN ROCKFORD THIS WEEKEND! How about both teams in the FINAL!!!!!! That would be awesome. GO FIREBIRDS!!!!!!!!
