East Suns drop 7-2 game to Homestead Varsity despite efforts of Nick Reimer. Nick Reimer went 1-2 and hit a home run, but East still fell to Homestead Varsity 7-2 in seven innings on Monday at Rennicke Field. Two of Easts runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Nick Reimer. He homered in the fourth inning. Jared Stieve got the win for Homestead Varsity. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered three hits. Homestead Varsity was sparked by Jared and Ian Koch, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs. Jonah Maas took the loss for the Suns. He allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out five. Homestead Varsity jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. A two-run blast by Ian, bringing home Sean Driscoll started the inning off. Homestead Varsity never surrendered the lead after the fifth inning, scoring four runs on a two-run error, a sacrifice fly by Ian, and an RBI single by Bryce Juedes.
