| Game Notes: The Waukesha Firebirds beat the Rockford Dawgs 20-8 to close pool play in the Rockford Tournament 3-1 and become the #2 seed in the "B" Bracket and earning them a spot on Monday in a Semi-Final Game V.S. The #1 Seed in the "A" Bracket The Rockford Cyclones. The Rockford Dawgs came out hitting and scoring 5 runs in the first inning. But the Firebirds answered back in the 2nd inning with a 11 run outburst headed by a HOMERUN by Conor "THE HITMAN" Sherman and a single in the same inning and scoring 2 runs and ended up going 4for4 with 4 RBI's for the game. But the Dawgs would not go down easy. They came back with 3 runs in the 3rd inning and made it a 11-8 game. Once again though the Firebirds bats came alive in the 4th with a 7 run inning Highlighted by a HOMERUN by Brandon "BERGIE" Berghoefer. Alex "A-TRAIN" Lawrence went 3for4 with a double and had 5 RBI's in the game. Samuel "Cadillac" Vissers also went 2for 3 with 3 RBI'S. The Firebirds as a team combined for 17 hits in total and this was a season high. Great Job Firebirds!!!! | ||||||||||
