Game Notes: The Waukesha Firebirds (Black) were defeated by the Skokie Indians 20-7 in the 3rd-4th place game of the Rockford Memorial Day Tournament. To many walks and errors by the Firebirds proved to much to overcome. Even with a Grand Slam by Mitch Ducett and 5 RBI'S and a Solo- Homerun by Storm Muehl. Darin Howell and Alex Lawrence both added 2 hits. But the Firebird pitchers could not stop the Indians and the defensive help by the rest of the team was no where to be found. But in summary of the weekend, I can see the progress this team is making and with hard work and the understanding that you can't always be perfect. But you MUST never give up hope that you can fight back even when it seems like everything is going bad for you or your team ,will make us even a better team. Great Weekend FIREBIRDS! I am very proud of "ALL" you boys.
