Game Notes: Verona came into this game looking to steal one from the first place Cardinals. They went right out and did when Jillian Bauer blasted a home run, one of THREE, in the first inning. Sun Prairie answered back every time the Wildcats, but up a run. Kelly Gavigan added a single the later to tie up the score. Bauer then hit her next two home runs giving the Wildcats some breathing room leading 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh. The Cardinals put two on that inning, when pitcher Kristen Hoppman hit a three run shot to left center to win the game. Verona was so close to knocking off the Cardinals, but still put up a good fight causing the fifth best team in the state to have to come from behind and win the game the way they did.
