| Game Notes: The Thunder won its third straight, beating Bloomington in five innings, 12-2. Righthander Alex Johnson (2-1) earned the win, yielding no earned runs on four hits. He struck out a season-high eight batters and walked four. Beau Jacobson hit a first-inning grand slam and finished with a season-high five RBI and Jared Johnson knocked in three on two singles and a sac fly. Derek Jacobson had two hits, two RBI and a stolen base. Alex Johnson helped his own cause by scoring twice and stealing a base. Chad Eul scored a run, walked once, and had a solid day behind the plate. Ryan "Big Ticket" Stepan hit a run-scoring double and executed a sacrifice bunt which led to the game-ending runs. Keegan Jindra and Josh "Future" Retka came off the bench to contribute to the win by hitting singles, with Retka scoring a run and Jindra (1R) driving in one. The Thunder improved their league record to 8-3. The club faces Richfield in a non-league match-up Wednesday. | ||||||||||
