Game Notes: On a cold, blustery, wet Saturday morning, the Kelowna Cubs got hammered 18-4 by Calgary, whose familiarity with the cold was an obvious advantage. Axel Scott took the loss for Kelowna, giving up six hits and nine walks, including a disastrous ten run third inning. Travis Schroeder continued his hot hitting streak with a double, single and rbi. Cam Kryzanowski, Cody Valgardson, Mike Stearns, Brandon Kaufman and Ryan McCredie had singles for the Cubs. Calgary was led at the plate by Mike Eisthen, with two towering three-run homers. |
