Game Notes: Axel Scott pitched an outstanding complete game, and the Cubs got him some offensive support, as Kelowna defeated the Coquitlam Reds 7-2 in the first half of Sunday's twin bill. Scott scattered five hits and struck out eight to run his PBL record to 2-1. Offensively, the first three batters for Kelowna (Cam Kryzanowski, Cody Valgardson and Jordan Valgardson) scored runs in the top of the first and second innings to stake the Cubs to a good lead. Ryan McCredie had a pair of singles, while Cody Valgardson's double and singles by Jordan Valgardson, Travis Schroeder and Brandon Kaufman completed the Cubs' offense. |
