Coquitlam Red scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, then won the game in the ninth inning, edging the Kelowna Cubs 6-5 to complete their four-game series Sunday. Jordan Valgardson pitched six excellent innings to give the Cubs a chance to win. Cam Kryzanowski came in to close the seventh, but was a victim of three errors by his mates, as Coquitlam tied the score at five. Jordan Neufeld took the loss in the ninth inning, as Jesse Herman knocked in the winning run for the Reds. Reliever David Kington got the win for Coquitlam. Brandon Kaufman had a single and double for Kelowna, and Ryan McCredie had two singles, with other singles going to Jeff Anderson and Justin Clarke. |
